Come travelling with me…

Singapore 2.0

I had 24 hours in Singapore on the way home and I did some stuff. Sleeping was a priority, and I have no idea what timezone I’m in. I had a night flight from Frankfurt and sleep/dozed for a few hours, and then it was dark here a few hours after I landed so I went to back to bed and slept again. When daylight came around I caught the train into the city (another excellent and easy transit system) and had a wander around, getting in my steps before another long haul plane flight overnight (two more to go: SIN-SYD-CHC). I’m sitting in the airport typing this as I wait for time to pass (and for my phone to charge). The golden shop pics are a coffee store in the airport terminal – I don’t drink coffee, but it was super pretty!

It rained overnight and this morning (30 degrees plus 100% humidity was a big gluggy to walk about in) but the umbrella I bought at Kenilworth Castle has come in handy once again! Luckily when I picked up my bags from the hotel, I could also used their shower facilities (Crowne Plaza Changi for the win) before getting on the plane.

A few photos below. Famous landmarks, weird shaped buildings (the white one is the science and art museum), a river/waterfront, a massive garden dome filled with plants from around the world, cool sculptures, lots of tropical plants. The bears are a visiting/travelling exhibit – one per country.

Another robot – this one is delivering food and drink in a restaurant.
